--><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>This project, financed by the Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP), aims to study the <em>in situ<\/em> structure of mitochondrial filamentous enzymes involved in the metabolic adaptation of tumors and their effects on organelle ultrastructure and morphology upon filamentation.<\/p>\n<p>This research will be an extension of Adamoski et al, NSMB 2023 (doi: <a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1038\/s41594-023-01118-0\">10.1038\/s41594-023-01118-0<\/a>), which was recently highlighted in the celebration of NSMB\u00b4s 30th anniversary (doi:<a href=\"https:\/\/doi.org\/10.1038\/s41594-024-01248-z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&nbsp;10.1038\/s41594-024-01248-z<\/a><span style=\"color: var( --e-global-color-text ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">).&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Now we focus on more profound questions with cutting-edge methodologies, such as correlative light-electron microscopy (CLEM), cryo-electron tomography in lamella (cryo-ET) and expansion microscopy (ExM), that can be also applied to other proteins in the lab.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><strong>Methodological Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><u>Sample Preparation<\/u>: Engage in cell culturing, vitrification, and lamellae preparation in our lab, at the IFSC\/USP.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><u>Data Collection and Processing<\/u>: Perform high-resolution tomographic data collection using top-tier microscopy facilities in Brazil and internationally.
