Diamond's temperature in algebraic QFT

I will talk about the temperature of an abstract spacetime region called a double cone, also known as a diamond. The framework we use is a free massless scalar field theory considered in the algebraic QFT approach. I shall commence with a brief review of von Neumann algebras, Tomita-Takesaki (TT) theory and some critical results that are indispensable parts of our studies. The backbone of our analysis, namely the Hislop-Longo theorem that facilitates the conformal mapping of some spacetime regions, and the corresponding modular operators, such as those associated with lightcones, wedges and double cones into one and another will also be discussed with relevant results. Later I will focus on the intrinsic definition of temperature introduced in my PhD work that reproduces the Unruh temperature for the right (Rindler) wedge. The proposed definition generalizes the Martinetti-Rovelli analysis that depends on a specific TT trajectory. I will eventually conclude with the temperature of a diamond and its (naive) limiting behaviours.
