Physical Review B and its offspring

Physical Review B remains by far the largest specialized condensed matter physics journal in the world. Its publishing environment is undergoing large changes. More specialized journals enter the market, high-impact journals have been constructed, open access publishing is strongly being advocated by several governments. In this talk I will address how the journal, and APS publishing as a whole, is responding to these changes.
