Technological Support Laboratory

In order to promote strong innovation activity and interaction with companies, we created a laboratory composed of engineers fully dedicated to innovative projects. The activity of LAT – Technological Support Laboratory  is mainly focused on the development of devices and testing principles for the use of optics in life sciences.

The field of biophotonics at CePOF is emerging and multidisciplinary. Its development and growth were shaped by the convergence of basic science, applied concepts and instrumentation. One of the most interesting ways that the LAT has found to produce innovation is through the opportunities that appear during the development of special instrumentation for research. With more than 30 students pursuing a doctorate in the field of Biophotonics, the demand for specific instruments that allow studies is quite large. By concentrating efforts to help research with specific instrumentation, new ideas and possibilities arise.

The LAT is where CEPOF's direct interaction with innovative companies takes place.
