In this talk, I will discuss classic cases of scientific misconduct in medical research and will also highlight less famous but important and common examples. Co-authored by the legal counsel for JAMA, this talk will highlight ways that these problems are detected and dealt with by journals. This lecture will also discuss interactions with industry and conflict of interest in medical research.
